If you’ve ever tried to book a guest spot as an artist or host one as a studio owner, you know it can feel like a gamble.
Artists want to make sure the studio is a friendly environment, that they get all the supplies promised, that the studio takes care of their artists, that the clientele is a good fit, and that they don’t get screwed over when it’s time to get paid.
Shops want to make sure the artist is reliable, gets along with the other artists, can pull in some new clients, and that the artist follows safe practices.
That’s why I built the Guest Spot Network through The Pangea Collective.
For Artists:
Traveling to work at different studios is one of the best ways to grow your career, meet new people, and expand your client base. But finding the right studio isn’t always easy. You want to know the space is professional, the energy is good, and you’re walking into an environment where you’ll be respected.
This network helps with that. You fill out a form that tells me about your style, where you want to travel, and what kind of studio culture matters to you. Then I work to match you with studios that actually align with what you’re looking for.
For Studio Owners:
Hosting guest artists can bring new energy to your shop, but it only works when there’s a good fit. You want someone who’s professional, talented, and going to vibe with your team and clients.
Through the network, you share what kind of artists you’re open to hosting and what your studio culture is like. I’ll send you artists who match your space and are people you’d actually want to work with. And I stay involved to make sure the process goes smoothly from start to finish.
The Reason:
We’re building a tattoo guest spot network where artists and studios can connect based on shared values, mutual respect, and creativity. For women, queer artists, and anyone who’s felt out of place in certain spaces, this network is designed to help you find studios where you belong.
If you’re an artist looking to travel or a studio owner open to hosting, fill out the intake forms below! And feel free to reach out with any questions at mia@thepangeacollective.com
